In order to be fluent in the Yoshinkan Aikido training, one must attend regularly for the training and train at least twice a week. This is a must for one to get to know the basic movements, basic techniques, train well how to perform ukemis, and get to know the names of each and every technique. If one doesn’t come for the training regularly, it’s not possible to learn the technique the way it should be. If one is to be graded, he/she should know, without hesitating, the techniques that are in the syllabus of the grading he’s/she’s sitting for. This is always achieved by training hard, and regularly. It’s pointless coming to train once in a while, just because – I don’t feel like to, or I’ve got a lot of clothes to wash, or I need to play with my kitten or puppy, or any other excuses. If one has to take training seriously, it’s a must to attend and train hard. As for all martial arts, it’s the repetitive training that makes one agile, think well and do a proper technique. Coming in time is also important for self discipline and for not interrupting the session. So having said all of this, I hope to see you all for training. Thanks William |
